ABOUT

Originally from coastal Maine, Ben has long loved the power of visual art, whether it be in books, galleries, art museums, comics, video games, or TV and movies.

He received a BFA in Illustration from Syracuse University and graduated from Gnomon, a digital visual effects school in Hollywood.

For the past 15+ years he's been working as a digital compositing artist on films, TV shows and commercials. He's contributed his artistic eye and expertise to projects for clients that include Disney, Lucasfilm, Marvel, MSG Sphere in Las Vegas, Lexus, BMW, Sony Pictures, Paramount, Hulu, CBS, Netflix, Fox, Apple and Google, to name a few.

More recently, he's begun spending more of his non-work time intentionally slowing down and getting his hands dirty to enjoy the creative freedom and therapeutic effects of making traditional art.

He draws inspiration from many facets of life, but beautiful lighting effects, ethereal moments in nature, music and the human form tend to resonate the most for him.

He's also interested in neuro/mind-related topics, the nature of reality, consciousness, personal development, health, the historicity and critiques about the Bible/Christianity and quite curious about how the worlds of science and the spiritual/mystical overlap.

When he's not working or doing something creative, he spends time with his beautiful partner, Maral, his family and friends, following his beloved Boston sports teams, playing golf and getting outdoors in order to unplug and reset. He currently resides in Sonoma County, California.

A HUGE Thank You...

...to his cherished patrons and collectors.

He would also like to ackowledge the encouragement, love and support he's been given throughout the years by his amazing parents, his beautiful partner Maral(& her family), brother, aunt, uncle, grandparents, extended family and dear friends.

Many thanks to his digital and traditional art instructors and educators over the years.

Finally, a sincere thanks to his brilliant colleagues and talented classmates who've shared their knowledge and made the creative process a lot of fun.

They've all been an invaluable part of the journey thus far.
